History of Kaivara: This place is located in Chintamani Taluk of Kolar district of Karnataka, its in western part of India, kaivara as historical significant to say, Pandava of the great epic Mahabharata lived here during the exile in the forest of (Vanavasa), and Bhim is said to kill the “Bakasura” at this place. This kaivara village as beautiful temple of amaranarayan swamy. The idol has been installed by the king of Vishnuvardhan of Hoysala. The architecture of the temple is very attractive. And there is also a small temple of Ram in the forest. Residing along with sita and lakshman, and temples also dedicate to Bhimeshwara, Nakuleshwara and Sahadeveshwara. “And Narayanappa a saint who is also knows as Kaivara Thathayya in Kannada and Telugu, he as lived here during last part of 18th century and fist half of 19th century.
Events: An annual music festival on Karnatic music is held in July every year here.
